The Alice O. Gelinas Endowment Fund was established in 1998 to honor her retirement after 18 years as Executive Director of JCAHPO. Proceeds of the fund are applied to special projects initiated by JCAHPO. |

The Arthur H. Keeney, MD, Memorial Endowment Fund was established to honor the memory of Dr. Keeney, founder of the JCAHPO Education and Research Foundation. Proceeds from this endowment fund are dedicated to scholarships, and special JCAHPO projects such as education and certification programs in subspecialties. |

The Budd Appleton, MD, Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in 1999, honors Dr. Appleton's strong and positive influence on JCAHPO as one of its founding members. He served as a commissioner (1969-80) and President (1974-75). This fund supports scholarships in his name. Dr. Appleton passed away in 1998. |

The Charles Douglas Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 to honor Mr. Charles Douglas, who was the inspiration for the development of the first ophthalmic assistant training program and a graduate of the program (Georgetown University Ophthalmic Medical Training Program in Washington, DC). Mr. Douglas passed away in 2000. |

An endowment was established in 1999 to honor the dedication of Harold A. Stein, MD, FRCS (C) to the education of ophthalmic medical personnel by initiating the keynote lecture at JCAHPO's Annual CE Program. Dr. Stein is the notable author of "Ophthalmic Assistant / A Text for Allied and Associated Ophthalmic Personnel." Proceeds of this fund are designated for support of the Harold Stein Lecture at JCAHPO's Annual Continuing Education Program. |

The Peter Y. Evans, MD, Scholarship Fund was established to honor Dr. Evans, Charter Commissioner (1969) and Executive Vice President (1981-95). Dr. Evans is recognized for establishing the first formal educational program for ophthalmic medical personnel at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. |

The Phil H. Weber, COMT, CRA, Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2003. Mr. Weber was a JCAHPO Commissioner (1988-1995) and Secretary of Certification. Proceeds from the fund are used for scholarships for ATPO members in training programs and members needing continuing education. Mr. Weber passed away in March 1995. |

The Virginia S. Boyce Endowment Fund was established in October 2000 to honor Mrs. Boyce on her retirement after 18 years of dedicated service to JCAHPO and its Foundation. Proceeds from the fund are designated for the Virginia Boyce Service Award to recognize the service of ophthalmic medical personnel (preferably JCAHPO-certified) who have made outstanding voluntary public service contributions in the field of eye care. |
